SENIOR CITIZEN CENTER COMMISSION
MEETING MINUTES
April 15, 2021 * 1:00 PM
Caldwell Senior Center * 1009 Everett, Caldwell, Idaho
Commission Members Present: Donna Crockett,Julie Warwick, Russell Weihe, Mike Pollard
and Dean Pratt
Commission Members Absent: Gerald Shea.
The meeting was called to order by Crockett at 1:00 pm.
It was noted that the tree by the main front entry had been cut down but that new shoots were
coming up from it. Donna will put some stump killer in it.
The carbon monoxide detectors in the kitchen have not yet been installed. We need to check
with the fire department and the city to find out whose responsibility this is.
The city engineer and public works have inspected the cracks in the ceiling in various places
throughout the building and determined that they are not a structural problem that needs to
be worried about.
The Light at the front door has been repaired.
There is a broken light fixture in the storeroom just inside the main entry that needs to be fixed.
There are also many fluorescent bulbs throughout the building that need to be replaced. Mike
will contact the City to see how to handle this.
The sprinklers in the parking lot flower/tree beds are not working. Mike noted that the city
indicated that these were capped off as they leaked into the building and caused wall and
electrical damage. They will not be turned back on.
Donna noted that there was fresh graffiti on the alley side of the building. Mike will find out
who should handle painting over it.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:30.
