Request Speed limit signs, Crosswalks and flags at 16th & Dearborn and 18th and Dearborn—Carmen Ives Carmen Ives is interested in getting two crosswalks placed on 16th and Dearborn St., and 18th and Dearborn St. Carmen feels that traffic does not see or stop to let the pedestrian cross. A traffic study is required to determine if a crosswalk is warranted at an intersection. A motion was made and the TC agreed unanimously to have Engineering perform a traffic study at the above intersections and proceed accordingly based on the data. The City tried providing flags at various locations in the past. Unfortunately, the flags quickly disappear. Due to that,TC no longer recommends providing flags for crossing.
