Minutes from the previous meeting were reviewed. A motion was made by Weihe and seconded by Warwick to accept the minutes. Motion passed. Crockett indicated that the invoice that the Senior Center paid to repair the walk-in had not been reimbursed. Pollard asked for a copy of the invoice and the check and he would get it submitted to the City Clerk requesting reimbursement. The additional repairs needed or the walk-in have been completed and were paid for by the City. The gutters have been cleaned out and are functioning properly. City personnel are reviewing an area beside the Meals on Wheels door that fill with water during a heavy rain. They are looking at possibly pouring concrete in the approximately 10' x 14' area that is currently dirt to help with draining off the water. The fan that was loose and sparking in the back area of the senior center has been repaired. The carpet has been measured in the Meals on Wheels office. There has not yet been a date established to do this work. The smoke detector near the front desk seems to be overly sensitive as it goes off while the cooks are cooking. There are some trees in the parking lot area that are dead or dying and need to be removed. There is no sprinkler system in one of the beds and the sprinkler system in the bed along the alley behind the center has sprinklers that do not seem to be very effective. Warwick advised the Commissioners that they should review the lease between the City and the Center. It outlines what maintenance and/or repairs should be taken care of between each party and it is in conflict with what Carol Mitchell has indicated. The City has always been very helpful and generous to the Center. The lease may need to be revised to reflect how the work is being taken care of. A motion was made by Pollard and seconded by Weihe to adjourn the meeting at 1:30 pm. Motion passed. The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Senior Citizens Center Commission is on July 18, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Respectfully submitted, Julie Warwick Secretary
