MINUTES
CALDWELL CITY COUNCIL
January 31,2018
12:00 p.m.
Mayor Nancolas called the meeting to order at 12:05 p.m.
Roll was called by the City Clerk. Present: Callsen,Pollard,Allgood,and Ozuna(via phone).
Absent: Stadick and Hopper.
(EXECUTIVE SESSION PURSUANT TO IDAHO CODE, SECTION 74-206, SUBSECTION (B)
FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCUSSING THE EVALUATION, DISMISSAL OR DISCIPLINING
OF, OR TO HEAR COMPLAINTS OR CHARGES BROUGHT AGAINST, A PUBLIC
OFFICER,EMPLOYEE,STAFF MEMBER OR INDIVIDUAL AGENT)
MOVED by Pollard, SECONDED by Allgood to convene into Executive Session pursuant to Idaho
Code, Section 74-206, Subsection (b) for the purpose of discussing the evaluation, dismissal or
disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff
member or individual agent at 12:07 p.m.
Roll call vote. Those voting yes: Pollard,Allgood, Ozuna, and Callsen. Those voting no: none. Absent
and/or not voting: Stadick and Hopper.
MOTION CARRIED
The Mayor reported that no decisions were made or action taken within the Executive Session. The
meeting reconvened at 12:28 p.m.
(CONSIDER RESOLUTION NO. 28-18 AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
SEPARATION AGREEMENT FOR INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR JOHN WATSON (GOLF
PROFESSIONAL)
MOVED by Pollard,SECONDED by Ozuna to approve Resolution No. 28-18 as presented.
Roll call vote: Those voting yes:Pollard,Allgood, Ozuna, and Callsen. Those voting no: none. Absent
and/or not voting: Stadick and Hopper.

(CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE POSITION OF GOLF
PROFESSIONAL)
Monica Jones, HR Director at 411 Blaine Street,provided a review of the job description. It was noted
that Ms. Jones acquired sample job descriptions from the City of Idaho Falls and the City of Nampa in
regards to the position. Both cities allow the golf pro to retain a portion of the fee for golf lessons and
all such lessons are conducted at the golf facility after hours.
The Mayor expressed his appreciation to Ms. Jones in preparing the job description. If the position is
approved, it would be posted tomorrow. Roger Garner, golf pro at Fairview Golf Course, will be
available as necessary for training the new employee since he is familiar with the Purple Sage Golf
Course facility and its operation.
MOVED by Callsen, SECONDED by Allgood to approve the job description as presented.

and/or not voting: Stadick and Hopper.
