2. Airport Improvement Program —Toby Epler/Rob Oates
Toby Epler provided diagrams regarding the upcoming Summer of 2018 runway
resurfacing project (AIP29), showing the phases that are planned. Phase 1 a&b to mark
parallel taxiway for use as a runway will last 2 days (During the runway resurfacing, the
temporary runway will be open for airport operations during daytime only); Phase 2
runway work - the runway will be closed approximately 40 calendar days, most likely in
August or September. Phase 3 to remove runway markings on parallel will take 1 day.
3. Shared Electrical Sub-Committee — Brent Orton
Brent Orton reported that his research on this project has revealed that individual fire
walls will not be necessary, as long as the meters are attached to the building. He
stated that attorneys are being consulted regarding necessary amendments to existing
leases, as well as other legal questions.
Greg Swanson added that if the existing wiring is up to code, it will then probably be
grandfathered in. Upon receipt of answers from the attorneys, Greg suggested an
informational meeting be held for the current shared electrical hangar owners.
4. Lateral (Canal) Relocation Update— Brent Orton
Brent Orton stated that they are still working with the Priddys on accomplishing an
agreement for land for lateral canal relocation.
Brent also reported that the road reroute of Smeed should be complete by the end of
