Had it repaired and works great now. The repairman put in a new filter today. > The milk machine was removed by the refrigeration company. It did not cost us anything. There was a Freon hazard with it and they took care of that. They did not make any money from it, but removed it as a courtesy to us. > The locks to the front door and the office were changed because a set of keys was missing from the desk in the office. This set of keys had the office door and front door keys on it. The password book was missing also. There were no passwords in it and it was just being put together for use. Other things have been missing, most recently a pillow from the silent auction. > Donna is updating the Board Members Picture Board and redoing all the photos with a nicer background, instead of the yellow one. > Donna is planning on having an indoor yard sale soon. It will be a one day sale only, from approximately 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. She has lots of items to sell. ➢ A Wall of Honor is being put together on the back wall of the dining room. A photo booth/area with a USA flag will be put together to take the veterans photos for the wall. Old Business: We have not received anything from the ACLU regarding the complaint from the former employee. It has been over thirty days. Will contact Personnel Plus to see what they feel we should do. Freezer was repaired on February 20th and it is working well. Roof leak is the only problem in the back corner now and the roofing company and Venton are working on a plan to fix it permanently. The pool room was cleaned by Angie. The funds were removed from the cash drawer by Donna and Lynda. New Business: Donna feels that Shannon should get a raise. She has not had one for several years. A dollar an hour was suggested to be effective the next pay period. ➢ Motion to approve a one dollar an hour raise for Shannon to be effective the new pay period Monday, March 20th: Carol Approved, Gerald Seconded. Passed. There is an additional class given at the Southwest District Health Department for Kitchen Assistant. This class would be beneficial for Shauna. She will learn food safety, kitchen prep safety and many other kitchen helps. This is a four hour class at a cost of$50. Donna will find out when the next class will be. ➢ Motion to have Shauna attend the Kitchen Assistant class. Carol Approved, Mary Seconded. Passed. The Senior Center Manual has Compassionate Leave for full-time employees and for part-time employees, granting them three days leave with pay if they are scheduled to work those days for a death in the family, sick child, etc. Does this area need to be changed? Most employers have compassionate leave for full-time employees only. Donna will make sure all board members have a copy of the Center Manual and this will be discussed at the next meeting and changes will be made as necessary. Two ladies who do 'Yoga for Seniors' at the Nampa Center have requested to start doing yoga at the Caldwell Center. They would like to have classes on Tuesdays from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. Would we be interested in starting this class and request a fee for using the Senior Center? Donna will put up a sign- up sheet to see if there is enough interest and do some research into charging a fee for the use of the Senior Center.
