P16 Guided Discovery Program
The P16 Preschool Guided Discovery Program offers developmentally appropriate
curriculum that stimulates a child's physical, social, intellectual, and emotional
development. Our classrooms provide children with an interactive environment that
focuses on language and literacy, math, nutrition, and character development. Daily
Activities include: circle time, recreation time (indoor or gym), exploration
experiences, small and large group activities.

P16 Teachers
All YMCA P16 Preschool Classroom Teachers are Idaho State licensed Child Care
Professionals whom are trained in CPR and First Aid. Our teachers undergo 35
hours of special training on Child Abuse and Prevention and Developmentally
Appropriate Curriculum.
Demographics
The P16 Preschool Program works in collaboration with the Caldwell School District.
We offer services at two Caldwell School District sites. One at Sacajawea
Elementary located on North Illinois Ave. and the other at Woodrow Wilson
Elementary located on East Linden St. The P16 Preschool Program is currently
staffed by four classroom teachers and one Site Coordinator. There are two
teachers assigned for each school site. Sacajawea services 20 students. It is a Full
day Preschool 9:00-3:00. Wilson Elementary Services 40 students, 20 in the
morning session and 20 in the afternoon session. The morning session is scheduled
from 9:00-12:00 the afternoon session is 1:00-3:00
