Meeting of the Caldwell Golf Board was held in the Council Chambers on
October 13, 1993 at 8:00 a.m.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Don Tolley,Bill Moad,Lloyd Nelsen
Representing the Ladies: Georgia Hersh
Representing the Men' s : John Houston
Supt.Gordy Crockett
Pro.John Watson & Pro Lenny Stroup.
Community-Services Director: Bill Schwinn
MEMBERS ABSENT: Kris Inouye, Mike Garman & Shirley Akagi.
Copies of the September Meeting along with the Agenda and Golf Receipts
were handed to each member.
Chairman Don Tolley explained that on October 4 Council Meeting the
Council had changed the Policy of Free Golf.
Pro John Watson and his full time pro staff would receive free golf as
well as Lenny Stroup and his full time pro staff. This means that the
Fountain Help is not included in the free golf.Also the Supt.Gordy Crockett
his crew would receive free golf,this does not include Bill Schwinn.
The Council also eliminated free golf for Council & Mayor. They would pay
half of the season ticket fare, this also applies to full time City
Employees hired after 1990.
The City Employees that were .receiving - Free Golf would pay $75.00 this
is for full time employees.
There should be a Memo on this by the next meeting.
Chairman Don thanked John Watson for getting the signs on "NO SMOKING"
they look very nice and are on every table and counter.
Don asked John if he had put up the sign on the Patio- John said he
had ordered it and expected it in this week.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Bill Schwinn reported that all "HOME OWNERS" along #7 Fairway would be
receiving a letter from the "PLANNING & ZONING" in regards to the fence.
Bill also handed copies of the letter from the Attorney regarding "Lightning-
Detection!'
Bill said he had no word from Gaylon Coates,after some discussion it was
decided that perhaps it would be best if Bill would get with the people on
the Council Finance Committee.
Lloyd Nelsen moved that Bill try to secure some type of arrangement with
the committee, seconded by Georgia Hersh, motion carried.
Gordy Crockett said that the water would be off this week ,they are
punching the Fairways and just getting things ready for winter.
Chairman Don asked Gordy what happened to the Cherry Trees planted by
Tony Miyasako , Gordy said that one had been run over by equipment ro,the
others were no-doubt hit by equipment. Don asked Gordy to please replace
the tree and maybe put some type of protection around them.
John Watson said that Lyman had come over to explain the drop area on #1
that people had asked about, after showing and explaining to the Ladies
they decided to leave as is and forget about the drop area.
Lenny Stroup said he had just returned from a two day P.G.A.Meeting

in Sun Valley that it was very interesting and informative.
Lenny said he had received a call from a Lady regarding a stray golf
ball that hit her windshield, but she didn't notice the crack until
she arrived home.
Lenny informed her that the golfers are responsible for stray golf
balls etc, that signs are posted on the Course.
It was decided that with the staff informing all golfers that they are
responsible for any damage done to cars etc, this should take care
of any problems.
With no further business meeting adjourned at 8: 45 a.m.

Dear Members of the Golf Board,
With the year rapidly coming to a close and a new Administration
about to take office, I would like to thank you and the members of
your Board for the cooperation and support during my term as Mayor
of Caldwell .
There is strong evidence that our Community is growing and the
economy improving. With the rapid changes anticipated, it is
imperative that our Commissions and Boards remain as active as they
are now. The recommendations that you present to the City Council
are the result of many hours of work and effort on your part which
is vital to the continued progress of our City. Your dedication
has certainly been appreciated.
I wish you luck in the coming years and hope that you will continue
to take an active interest in the growth of Caldwell .

City's year end figures and are subject to changes as the auditors
