August 23, 2016 Meeting Minutes
Present Toni Brinegar, Ron Bonneau, Geoff Starr, Steve Jenkins, Kelly Emry, Donna Shines,
Angie Point, Brandy Smith
Meeting began at 3:10 pm. Toni motioned/Josh seconded the motion to accept the minutes from
July 19 . Motion,passed.
Discussion from all present centered on final format for the Forum day. Since personnel and
equipment were unavailable to produce a video during the Forum that was modeled after the one
produced by the College of Idaho, the decision was made to keep the general format of past
Forums. The attached updated schedule for the day outlines the purpose and flow for each
segment of activity.
Significant changes:
• Bukky Ogunrinola, a Forum attendee from last year, will talk to the students at the beginning
about what to expect, introduce the day's focus, and show the College's "It's On Us" video.
• The individual school meetings at the end of the day will focus on tangible ways students
could bring the message of the Forum to their own schools—via video, school
presentations, or other outreach mediums. They will also be asked to complete their
projects by April 15th, and do some sort of presentation outlining their projects to a
subsequent City Council meeting.
• Transitions between activities will be handled purposefully, giving students a quick 'heads-
up' before each major activity.
Josh motioned/Kelly seconded to adjourn the meeting at 4:30 pm. The next meeting will be a final
walk through at The College of Idaho on Tuesday September 6 at 11.:00 am.
Respectfully submitted,
Angie Point
