HomeMy WebLinkAbout07-26-2016 Dog Park Minutes CALDWELL DOG PARK COMMITTEE MINUTES Meeting of July 26, 2016 @ 4:30 P.M. Whittenberger Park Caldwell, ID I. Call to order. Theresa Hardin called the meeting to order at 4:37 p.m. II. Roll Call. Members Present. Theresa Hardin, Brian Billingsley, Gene Gunderson, Mike Pollard, Dave Marston, Julie Warwick, Robb MacDonald, Kelli Warwick, Gina LuJack, Tom Marmon, and Anita Wilson . Members Absent. Dr. Brett Bauscher, Cindy Ambriz, Vinton Howell, Rena McKean. Others Present. None. III. Minutes. Mr. Pollard made a motion to approve the minutes of the meeting of June 1, 2016. Second by Mr. Gunderson. No discussion. MOTION APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY. IV. Old Business. A. Update on Incorporation and 501c3. Mr. Billingsley handed out the articles of incorporation. He informed the committee that Gene Gunderson, Julie Warwick, Anita Wilson, and Theresa Hardin have volunteered to serve on the Board of Directors. Brian asked the Board members to provide their mailing address for the incorporation papers. He will submit the paperwork to the State. V. New Business. None. A. Review Site Plan. Mr. Marston took the committee on a tour of the dog park. The pathways have been installed. Dave stated that he met with the fencing contractor. Dave learned that the committee can save some money by reconfiguring the entrance to the dog park by utilizing the greenbelt. He showed the committee where the gates will be located. After a few questions and discussion by the committee, Mr. Gunderson made a motion to approve the fencing reconfiguration. Kelly Warwick seconded the motion. MOTION APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY. Mr. Billingsley asked committee members for suggestions on other items should be installed before the dog park should be opened to the public. Everyone agreed that doggie stations, trash cans, water, and signs should be installed before the dog park is opened to the public. Other items that need to be prioritized are more trees, benches, and covered gazebos. Councilman Pollard stated that he is going to put in another request for more funding in the FY 2017 budget. VI.
