Special Meeting. Red Cross Office
October 25, 12 noon
Present : Members : Conger, Macy, Rankin, Roelofs, Wallace.
Guests : Fran Horan, Dee Pairang.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Conger.
Ordinance and By-laws. The Beautification Commission ordinance
was- corrected and the language improved in several places. The
by-laws were coordinated with the ordinance. See attached copies.
Visit with Horan. A runner was sent to summon Don Horan. Upon
his arrival a discussion ensued concerning the following topics :
1. The general intent of the Commission's enabling ordinance.
2. General and specific areas of interest to this commission.
It was felt that this commission can be the driving force for a
number of projects for city improvement. Specific suggestions
were made concerning the proposed Railroad Park including the
possibility of obtaining a railroad car.
Horan expressed his hope that this group can become an effective
agency for the requesting of certain Federal grants.
The meeting dispursed at 1:30 P.M.
