RE: Notice of Publie Hearing Letter Dated July 7, 1997
To whom it may concern:
As adjacent property+c vners to the site at 2800 E. Cleveland Boulevard, we find it
objectionable to accept thei`sial use request for a"Security Guard Dwelling Unit" to be
allowed on the property. Outreview of the legal notification letter left the type and quality of this
"dwelling" to be very vague end undefined.
We tend to disagree Wfth the possibility of using commercially zoned and used property
for a residential use. We voliid be willing to listen to more discussion on the matter, but at this
point, we would preferther reject this application.

To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Elsa Eytchison, manager of the
Caldwell Salvation Army Thrift Store . Our
store is located at 2804 E . Cleveland Blvd.
and shares a parking lot with the Like-Nu
Car Wash.
Although it is neither Mel ' s job or respon-
sibility, the location of his trailer allows
Him to monitor the "coming" and "going"
of
vehicles to our store ' s donation area
Whether or not Mel is on premise , the very
presence of his trailer serves as a deterent
to would-be thieves and vandals. We consider
Mel our "un-official" round-the-clock security
person.
Mel provides a valuable service to our
neighborhood. It would not be in the best
interest of our store' s welfare and security
if you were to force Mel to remove his trai-
ler from its current location. We would also
be losing a good friend and valued neighbor.

Hereby I 'm sending you my response to this hearing.
I own the property next to this car wash, and I OPPOSE to
this change on land use, this car wash does not have a
security gurd. what it is A LIVING CARE TAKER. I feel
have been without a on the spot care taker for years
and now the mobile home on next to the building. looks bad
this is a comercial zoning, and that will deteriorate and
make a mess busnesses rules . I think they should remove
that or built a permanent facility inside the building.
