(Apiv gf t,, • c ms s l 1 o c 10 ed Assisted By PR.-- 1 City of Caldwell Planning and Zoning Commission 621 Cleveland Blvd. Caldwell, ID 83605 August 6, 1997 Dear Commissioners, The area selected for the trailer court is in the middle of a light industry area. There are many reasons to keep the area devoted to light industry. Many industries are just now moving to the area and their tax base is much greater than mobile homes. People should not live in the area in question as it is adjacent to the rail road, fairground, rodeo and sports stadium. People living there will be subject to noise pollution, smoke pollution, dust pollution, etc. There is a year round creek running along Chicago Street, creating an attractive nuisance that can and will attract children and can harm them. The extra 100 to 150 cars will be unleashed on Chicago Street, which is just not built for the traffic it is seeing today, let alone the extra this development will produce. Putting people in the proposed site just does not make sense, for the safety and comfort of the people. There must be many other much more suitable places in Caldwell to build a trailer court. Respectfully yours, /fr_ri Ralph and Von Russi it_ if
