Re: Special Use Permit Application
The Vallivue School District No. 139 requests that their current special use
permit, for the property located at 1407 Homedale Road, Caldwell, Idaho, be
amended to allow construction of a new District Administration office.
The proposed office is a one-story structure with a footprint area of
approximately 5350 square feet. The proposed location is at the northwest
corner of the current site with access directly off Montana Ave. The proposed
exterior materials are an architectural asphalt shingle roof and an E.I.F.S. wall
finish. Site lighting is achieved substantially with soffit lighting and is
supplemented with minimal lot pole lighting.
This project would benefit the public in several ways. This office would be
located within the heart of the District, allowing better access for other
facilities and patrons. The long-term cost efficiencies gained as a result of this
project would allow less resources to be withheld from direct educational
funding. The additional parking resulting form this facility could be utilized
for access to the athletic fields located nearby. This would help reduce
problems of parking on the street that has occurred in the past.
This project will help the administration more efficiently render educational
NAMPA,IDAHO services to the community while not adversely affecting the public interest.
