Thi 7.ou i t 2119 Cleveland Blvd. Caldwell, Ida'io November 14, 1977 Mr. Star►Farish Secretary Planning and Zoning Commission Caldwell, Idaho Dear Sir: We wish to file an objection to the granting of a Special Use Permit to Walker and Company Real Estate for a professional office on Lots 13 and 14, Block 1 of Blatchley ' s addition at 2123 Cleveland Blvd. The above property is a brick residence with a double car garage and a cinder block shop on the alley. This property is next door to our family residence at 2119 Cleveland Blvd. Until recently, the entire block borJcred by Cleveland, BlainC, st . .ta 22 st . , was strictly residential . The first encroach- ment on this block was the corner property on Blain, across from the bowling alley which was allowed to become an insurance office without proper permission from neighboring property holders. In March of this year, a pre-fab alpine type building was allowed to be constructed in this block for a communications and Fhoto shop. An addition to this building was an old van body which in the past was used to haul cans of milk. This repainted truck van was placed on the alley , apparently for storage purposes. At the time this property was under construction, we lodged a complaint with the city building inspector. He said that a petition ^ had been circulated in the neighborhood which allowed construction on this property. This petition was circulated ten or more years ago by Nancy Baxter I believe , and was for an altogether different t\ pe of property improvement. Five of the eiwht homes in this block • are not owned by the same people who owned them at the time that petition was circulated. We strongly object to the piecemeal destruction of our block as a family residence area . Sincerely, • / l A . t , • = ,,
