TO: CITY OF CALDWELL CITY COUNCIL PLANNING & ZONING RE: Rezoning of property located at 1724 Blaine Street, Caldwell, Idaho Q: Describe the business: A: The Cutting Edge Beauty Salon would like to move its business from 714 E. Cleveland to 1724 Blaine Street as our permanent place of business. Owners of the Cutting Edge, Deneen Lammey and Chris Fuller, have worked in the City of Caldwell for ten(10)years. We have been doing business as the Cutting Edge for the last seven (7) years. The business consists of three (3) full time registered cosmetologists who perform permanent waves, coloring, haircuts, facial hair removal, styles for special occasions, make-up application, facials, and eyebrow tinting. The Cutting Edge business hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Q: How will we benefit the public? A: The salon would be a benefit to the public by continuing to provide the services of the three (3)registered cosmetologists who have successfully been providing services to the public for many years. The Cutting Edge has also been supporting the community for many years by donating to local churches, schools, sporting events, rodeos, and other charities. We sponsor families through the Salvation Army every year. We are also members of the Caldwell Exchange Club. By keeping our business in the city limits we would be able to continue to donate as we have been, to stay active in our community, and to help build a stronger and more prosperous Caldwell for the future. Q: How will it adversely affect the neighborhood? A: We will in no way adversely affect the neighborhood or community. As business owners we would like to create a"home-like" appearance to the premises and keep its integrity intact. In doing so,it would include keeping the house looking nice at all times, maintaining the yard, and adding a privacy fence. The remodeling that has been done and the improvements that are to come have already and will drastically improve the neighborhood. Because the house has been vacant for so long we feel it would be an asset to the neighborhood to allow the Cutting Edge to relocate there. - Z A ZZ 4 V ''i- . . _ ell I - ' N udscjd tIR*'S'AIJ (.s- fs-r diegeu Asow, 7 sus .0, diZt. t 0 °°..
