Premises Identification. All numbers or addresses shall be 6" high and placed above the front door on the of the building in such a manner to be clearly visible from the street . The numbers shall contrast with their background and be placed on the street side of the building. UFC 901 .4 .4 2 . Portable Fire Extinguishers shall be installed in occupancies and locations as set forth in this code and as required by the Chief . UFC 1002 . 1 Fire Extinguishers shall be of the 2A 10BC size and have the top of the extinguisher hung 3 ' to 5 ' off the floor. Three fire extinguishers shall be provided. One shall be located by each exit door. 3 . Emergency Power Equipment . Equipment providing emergency power for exit illumination and exit signs shall be maintained in an operable condition. UFC 1211 . 2 A plan shall be submitted for their installation. 4 . Exit Sign Illumination. Signs shall be internally or externally illuminated by the two electric lamps or shall be of an approved self-luminous type. UFC 1212 .4 The exit signs shall be provided above all approved exits . • 5 . The building shall be provided with adequate exiting systems as specified in the 1994 Uniform Building and Fire Codes . 6 . Proper separation shall be provided between the residential and assembly occupancies . 7 .
