SUBJECT: Comments for Caldwell Planning and Zoning Commission (5-11-00) The Caldwell Fire Department offers the following comments regarding cases to come before the Caldwell Planning and Zoning Commission on May 11, 2000: Case No. SUP-82-00/ Greg Skinner Demo old building and build new 1250 SF office building at 1009 Dearborn The CFD approves of the proposed SUP circumstances and will respond to this request at plan review for the building permit. Applicant should be conditioned to adhere to the provisions of the Uniform Fire Code, Sections 8704, 8705 and 8706, in the demolition of the old structure. Case No. SUP-25F(7)-99/West Valley Development West Valley Estates final plat approval/23 SFR units The CFD has reviewed the final plat map and approves the street names and fire department access. NOTE: The location of fire hydrants are not shown on the final plat map. Hydrant locations must be noted during the building permit review process and must be installed and operational prior to any combustible materials being brought on site. It would be highly advantageous for the Applicant to submit a map of adjoining phases and any fire hydrant locations previously required or installed to ensure continuity and adequacy of hydrant spacing throughout the entire project. pAv ( Memorandum To: Linda James From: Gordon Law, City Engineer (?%i"/ Re: Case No. SUP-82-00 Request by Greg Skinner for Special Use Permit Date: April 28, 2000 The Engineering Department has reviewed the proposed request for a Special Use Permit for property located at 1009 Dearborn Street. The Engineering Department has no comments concerning the proposed use, however an application for a building permit will necessitate a review of storm drainage, infrastructure and connection fees in accordance with City policies. Clarification of these of these items can be obtained from the Engineering Department. P
