This increase, based on my interpretation of Idaho Code statutes 67-6530 through 67-6532, would legally change this facility from a "single-family residential/ congregate residence" classification R- 3) into a"nursing home for ambulatory patients"classification ([u Occupancy Group R- (UBCOccup ancy GrGroup oup 1-2). Records indicate that this facility has an approved automatic residential fire sprinkler system (NFPA 13D) that provides the required fire extinguishing system protection for the new occupancy group classification. The only other requirement obvious at this time, if not already installed, would be an approved manual and automatic fire alarm system. CFD approval of this request would be conditional upon a full fire inspection of the premises.
