Re: Case No's. SUP-118-01
Date: April 11, 2001
The Engineering Department has no comments concerning the proposed rezone, but does have
the following comments concerning the special use permit to build Auto zone retail center.
1. Provisions are to be made for disposal of stormwater drainage in accordance with the City's
stormwater policy. A copy of this policy is available upon request. The engineer of record is
to provide calculations which indicate the assumptions in his storm drainage plan comply with
the storm drainage policy.
2. Upon applying for a building permit, the applicant will be required to adhere to the City of
Caldwell Infrastructure Improvement Policy governing street improvements (such as curb,
gutter, and sidewalk).
3. Property improvements are subject to vision triangle restrictions as per Idaho Code#49-593.
The site drawing shows the building on the corner of 10th and Belmont in violation of this
code. For public safety purposes, All buildings, approaches, signs, landscaping and all
objects over 3 feet in height (measured from the centerline of the street), must be kept out of
the vision triangle. Moving the retail site toward East Chicago is recommended.
4. No structures are allowed in alley. The alley is public right-of-way and needs to remain clear
of all obstruction.
5. The location of the Chicago driveway approach should be kept as far as practical from North
10th Avenue.
