Department and examined the case file for Case No. J 3 P C . I

CITY OF CALDiTELL:
This letter is in response to the 48 unit apartment complex that the Caldwell Ashton
Associates are wanting to build in the Ashton Hills Subdivision. Pam totally opposed to
this now or anytime in the future. When I purchased my house at 3914 Bennington st. I
was told by our real estate lady that this was a residential subdivision for families,nothing
was said about an apartment complex or I never would have bought a house here and I
will sell mine if a apartment complex is built.If the Ashton hills Ass. would have been
totally honest with the people who purchased houses here I can tell you they woudn't
have bought in here. This apartment complex will create more traffic through the
subdivision along with more noise,more than we already have with loud music coming
from the subdivision already. This will also create more crime in our area and most of all it
will make our property value go down which is not fair to the people who live here
already. I've put a lot of work into my house and I don't want to sell it but I will and I have
talked to a lot of the neighbors and they agree this should not be put in a residential
subdivision. I'am enclosing a map that I was given by our real estate lady when we first
decided to buy our house and it does not show an apartment unit anywhere, I feel this is
totally misleading to us and everyone else who lives in Ashton Hills Sub. If Ashton Hills
Ass. wants to build more houses that is fine as that would fit in with the houses already
here,but not an apartment complex.
