SEP 13 20Q CHRIS HOPPER, EIT 1 ( RE: SUP-172-02 Pastor Freddie Lane Date: September 13, 2002 The Engineering Department does not oppose the proposed Special Use Permit. Comments made by the Department on the original SUP-69-99 still apply, with the exception of item no. 1 which has been addressed. Original comments are attached. 1 !D EoElvg, IT\ DATE: September 13, 2002 sEp 16 2002 of TO: Steve Hasson, Community Development Direct() FROM: Douglas Brown, Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal SUBJECT: Comments for Caldwell Planning& Zoning Commission September 25,2002 Meeting The Caldwell Fire Department (CFD) offers the following comments regarding the following cases to come before the Caldwell Planning&Zoning Commission on September 25, 2002: Case No: SUP-172-02 Applicant: Pastor Freddie Lane Project: Church expansion Location: 2423 Georgia Avenue The CFD will have to carefully review the Applicants building plans for this expansion. The building facility that they occupy has a history of code complications that has resulted in a variety of alternative mitigation. The present church portion is fire sprinkled and the new addition would also be required to be sprinkled, too. Case No: SUB-77-02 Applicant: Bill Gilbert Project: Commercial lot development Location: Vicinity of Smeed Parkway and Hwy. 20-26. The CFD has no objections to this proposed project, however, I am confused if this is Skyway Business Park or another adjoining venture. If it is Skyway Business Park, then the CFD has already commented on that development and the required CFD improvements have already been made (roadways and hydrants). If this is a new development we would like maps that reflect that project. 1 hp\ 2
