To deny the request of the LDS Church to put a parking lot for the
church at 13th & Everett Streets. This parking area would only
decrease the value of properties located around the area. There are
already two (2) parking areas located 1 block or less from the
church. One located at 12th and Filmore is owned by the church
and is not in use at this time by the members nor has ever been
used regularly by the church members. The other is a public
parking area located at 12th and Everett Streets. This area is now
supposed to be zoned for a historical district and we do not feel
that this parking lot is in the best interest of the neighborhood.
