CODE ENFORCEMENT REPORT Date 02-25-2009 Case No. 2009-02-25-1054 Location: Boone Memorial Church 406 S 14th Avenue Caldwell, ID 83605 Cornplainant(s): Planning and Zoning Department Complaint: Verify compliance with conditions as set forth in SUP-322-08 Property Owner: Boone Memorial Church Business Owner: Boone Memorial Church INSPECTION RESULTS 02-25-2009 At the request of the Planning and Zoning Department, the conditions of SUP-322-08 are being inspected for compliance. Conditions that are relevant are as follows: 8.5. Within six months of the date of signature on the order of decision showing approval of the special use permit, a sign permit application shall be submitted for the approved sign as shown in the submitted site plan. If the sign permit application is not submitted within the required timeframe, the special use permit approval shall become null and void and another special use permit approval will need to be received. One, and only one, administrative extension may be granted by the Planning and Zoning Director, after completing the administrative determination request form, allowing an additional six months to submit the sign permit application. 8.6. Within twelve months of the submittal of the sign permit application, the sign permit shall be obtained and the sign installed. If the permit is not obtained and the sign is not installed within the required timeframe, the special use permit approval shall become null and void and another special use permit approval will need to be received. A three-month administrative extension may be granted by the Planning and Zoning Director, after completing the administrative extension request form, allowing an additional ninety calendar days to obtain the sign permit and subsequently install the sign. 8.13. The sign permit shall be obtained prior to installation of the requested sign. The installed signage shall be subject to inspection by the Building Department, Engineering Department, Fire Department and /or Planning and Zoning Department. An incorrectly-installed sign or a sign that doesn't meet all the requirements of city, without the appropriate permit, shall be removed immediately by the owner and applicant/developer or the City shall remove the sign and dispose of it and bill the owner and applicant/developer for any sign-removal related expenses. 8.14. The sign to be installed shall replicate the rendition submitted with the special use permit application identified as Exhibit A-3 with the addition of the address and street name in 6" letters near the bottom of both sides of the sign, said address and street name to be in contrasting colors to the sign or as directed by the Caldwell Fire Department. 8.15. No portion of the sign, including footing and supports and corners of the sign itself, shall be located within any vision triangle area. 8.17. No portion of the sign, including footing and supports and corners of the sign itself, shall be located within any right-of-way or future right-of-way area. 8.18. All portions of the sign, including footing and supports and corners of the sign itself, shall be a minimum of five feet away from any property lines and any right-of-way lines. 8.19. The sign shall always look clean, neat and maintained and free from chipping, fading or peeling paint and any other unsightly condition. 03-09-2009 Upon further investigation it was found that the sign permits have been issued and the signs need to be installed. I will monitor for installation of signs. 04-15-2009 While conducting other site inspections it was found that the signs have been erected and are in compliance with SUP-322-08.
