Upon discussing the matter with Mayor Nancolas, it was relayed to me that City Council and the Mayor would be more than happy to hold a Curtis Park workshop with any individuals/entities who submit a formal, written, detailed proposal and schematic plan regarding expansion of uses at Curtis Park. At the present time, since the City has not received any formal, written, detailed proposals for Curtis Park, no Curtis Park workshops will be scheduled or held. Upon receipt of a formal proposal, a workshop with City Council can be scheduled. Please note that any proposal should contain all of the following items: 1. Every use proposed within the park. 2. All structures proposed for construction. 3. Detailed plan for security 4. Detailed plan for maintenance 5. Detailed explanation of funding for maintenance and funding for installation of structures and proposed uses. 6. Days and hours park would be accessible to the public 7. Since a public hearing was officially and formally continued to February 8, 2011, said hearing will be noted on the agenda for February 8, 2011 but with a notation that the application has been withdrawn and there will be no testimony taken on the case. Anyone who wishes to expand or add uses to the existing Curtis Park, over and above what is already present at the site, should contact me at 455-4662 to verify the proposed expansion or additional use does not trigger the Special Use requirement.
