Indian Creek Plaza Committee
December 8, 2015
Call to order at 7:40 am
Roll Call: Kelli Jenkins,Keri Sigman, Theresa Hardin,Warren Kouba, and Emma Hardin.
Approval of Minutes: November 24, 2015---Keri motioned to approve the minutes, seconded by Theresa.
Passed unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS:
Destination Caldwell/Indian Creek Plaza Newsletter Update
• Update from John
• Circulation/Distribution schedule...as needed
• How do we keep the community and plaza supporters updated on Plaza activities? Website, FB, and
Newsletter. It was determined to start an"Indian Creek Plaza" Facebook page.
Business Improvement District
• Met with Zach Wagoner& Gene Kuehn
• Have I st draft of potential BID tiers, pending property tax spreadsheet
NEW BUSINESS:
Dan Senflner, CEO-Destination Rapid City's Main Street Square
■ Final Plaza Site Report &Designation via Resolution or Motion in the Minutes.
■ 2nd Visit planned for December 14 & 15
• Itinerary: Mayor/City Development Team, City Council/CURA Council Members/Commissioners,
Media, and Indian Creek Plaza Committee
• Reviewed "draft agenda".
■ Final Business Plan and Pro Forma Report Deliverable....February 2016
Indian Creek Plaza"Business Plan&Pro Forma Budget"
• Committee members need to have their portions of the ProForma completed by end of December. We
want to provide a draft ProForma to the City Council in January when we ask them to issue the RFP.
Final ProForma to be completed once architect renderings are complete.
Request for Proposal"Design&Engineering of a Public Programmed Plaza"
■ Kelli to work on preparing a draft RFP for the City to use.
Indian Creek Plaza Fundraising
• Need to begin developing capital fundraising strategy for Indian Creek Plaza
• Model Caldwell YMCA
• Prior to Dan's final report, we need some strategic partners financial commitments
