■ when the recent snow event occurred during the holidays —road graders
cleared the runway & main taxiway shortly after the event, and then came back
the next weekday to clear the remaining taxiways and taxi lanes. This will be the
typical response pattern to snow events. one complaint came in regarding a
hangar owner's apron being blocked by snow from the grader. The city will not
be clearing anybody's individual apron.
• Radios are recommended in all aircraft for the general safety of all airport users.
Discussion followed and recommendation made to organize another town hall
meeting, emphasizing communication.
Some trees around the airport grounds have been removed to discourage birds
from nesting nearby. Removal of canal will most likely reduce the wildlife issues.
The wildlife Hazard Assessment report is almost completed and will be
submitted for review by FAA.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:42 pm.
