Senior Center Board Meeting Nov 9, 2015
Donna C. called the meeting to order at 1:00 with the Pledge of Allegiance 9 g ante to the Flag.
In attendance:

Minutes of the meeting octl2, 2015 adopted with the following corrections
Absent were Donna Crockett and Mike Pollard.
• Sharon C called the meeting to order.
Edward Jones provided a presentation to the Board on some options
on investments
that could benef it the center f or the future.

$2201.42 for Bargreen Ellison for the remaining alance for the serve
9 out table.
$68.00 for Fire Extinguisher Co. They inspected the fire extinguishers
for the year.

Old Business:
• AED unit --the unit is here Sintas will come to install the unit with training to follow.
• Serve Out Tables- They are in place and working very well.
• Floor Bids for Kitchen - An ad will placed in the er a to et some bids
p p 9 for this.
• Fire extinguishers passed inspection.
• Staff- Everyone is working very well.
• Pool Room Re-key- Still in the works. The window in the pool room was broken by a
flying rock f rom the lawn mower. Once the window is replaced we will start the
process to rekey the door.
New Business:
• Discussed options f or the dining room floor. A proposal was submitted to buff and
wax the floor 4 times a year for a total of $450 each time. The decision was made
to try some felt pads on the table legs and chair legs and then re-evaluate in a year.
• The day before Thanksgiving - Donna Q. is planning on having about 150 people for
the meal. Volunteers will be needed that day to help as ... greeters, help people to
their table,get water.
• Would like a new sign out front of the building that will clearly show the Name,
Address,Phone number and Hours. Would also like to redo the signage on the
window. Mike will check with the city to see this is a service they can provide.
• Donna Q wi II be taking some time off before the end of the she wi II let us know the
dates later.
• There will be an Angel Tree this year.
• Ad will placed in the paper so that we can have the election on Dec 15th at the
center
