WHEREAS, through the Caldwell City Code, at Chapter 4, Article 17, Section 04-17- the City has adopted previous versions of the Idaho Standards for Public Works 09(7}, y p p . Construction, as supplemented by supplemental specifications thereto, relating to the design, Can pp construction and testing f pressure irrigation facilities within the Caldwell Municipal Irrigation District; WHEREAS it is in the public interest to adopt the most current version of the Idaho Standards For Public Works Construction, as well as supplemental specifications thereto relating to the design,n, construction and testing of pressure irrigation facilities within the Caldwell Municipal Irrigation District; WHEREAS through the Caldwell City Code, at Chapter 13, Article 3, Section 13-03-09, the C y p City has adopted previous versions of the Idaho Standards For Public Works Construction for to general public and private development within the City, including supplemental application g p specif cations thereto, on various occasions; WHEREAS, pursuant to Idaho Code § 67-6518, and following proper notice, a hearing on this matter was held before the Caldwell City Council; and WHEREAS it is in the public interest to adopt the most current version of the Idaho s Standards For Public Works Construction and supplemental specifications thereto for application to general public and private development. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Caldwell, County of Canyon, State of Idaho: Section 1: That Chapter 4, Article 17, Section 04-17-09{7}, of the Caldwell City Code, is hereby amended to reference the 2015 Idaho Standards for Public Works Construction, as well as a newt adopted version of the "Caldwell Municipal Irrigation District Supplemental PAGE—1 Specifications," dated November 2, 2015, a copy of which is attached to this ordinance and marked as Exhibit"B,"as follows: 04-17-09: WATER CONNECTIONS,CONSTRUCTION REGULATIONS: . . (7) Construction Methods And Materials: The materials and methods used for construction of city irrigation service lines, private irrigation service lines, irrigation mains or city irrigation system appurtenances shall conform to the g y requirements of all codes and specifications as may be adopt ed by the city council. The cit y may reject any materials or workmanship for cause, and upon such order, the rejected materials shall be removed and replaced with approved materials. The 2015 Idaho Standards for Public Works Construction as su lemented b the "Caldwell Municipal Irrigation District Supplemental Specifications", dated November 2, 2015 2 are hereb y adopted as the official standards to govern design, construction P and testin g of pressure irrigation facilities for the Caldwell irrigation utility. The cit y engineer is hereby directed to publish said standards and make available to g the public for a fee adopted by resolution of city council. .
