Call to order. Theresa Hardin called the meeting to order at :00 p.m. II. Doll Call. Members bers Present. Theresa Hardin, Gina LuJa k, Brian Billingsley, Ricardo ardo Calderon, Vinton Howell, Gene Gunderson, Torn Marmon, Mika Pollard, Julie Warwick, Kelli Warwick,k, Rena McKean. Members Absent. Jim Blacker, Dr. Brett Baus her, Dave Marston, Cindy Annbri . Others Present. Russ Foreman, Kellie Foreman, Gail Conway, Jerry Bauman. Ill. minutes. Mr. Billingsley made ar motion to approve the minutes of the meeting of May 27, 2014. Second by Mr. Pollard. No discussion. MOTION APPROVED ED UNANIMOUSLY. IV- Introduction of New Members.bers. Mr. Billingsley announced Cindy Ambriz had been appointed by the City Council to serve on the committee, but she was not in attendance. V. old Business. X Continued Discussion on Rotary Park Pond Site and other sites: Mr. Billingsley spent a few minutes explaining wham happened at the previous meeting. He then passed around the table several aerial photographs of possible sites for a dog park. The committee considered and rejected the following sites: 0 Usti k Park—Adjacent to a residential subdivision and a fire station. 0 Brother's Park—Would mean the reduction of one soccer field. • Griffith's Park—Would mean losing overflow parking for the fair and other everts at Caldwell Events Center. • Jaycee's Park— Next to the interstate and a residential neighborhood. Caldwell Dog Park Committee Meeting, May 2 7, 2014 Page 1 k 1 • Vacant land next to an Buren Elementary School — Slanted to be used as a city park. It is undeveloped and adjacent to school, which could cause distractions. The committee expressed interest in investigating Whittenberger Park as a possible location for a dog park. Mr. Howell stated he has some concerns about the site and he requested some time to take a look at the park and see if he can reconfigure the soccer fields so that the dog park can be placed closer to the parking lot. The committee agreed to give Vinton some time to review Whlttenberger Park and come beck with to the committee with his recommendation in June. V1. Now Business. Nome. 1111. sect Fasting. The Committee decided to allow Chair Hardin to set the date and time of the next meeting after hearing that Mr. Howell is ready to report his findings. V111. Meeting adjourned at approximately : .m.
