ORDINANCE NO. 3006
AN ORDINANCE ENACTED BY THE C LDWELL CITY COUNCIL, REPEALING
CHAPTER 1, ARTICLE 79 SECTION 1-0 7- � OF THE CALDWELL CITY CODE,
PERTAINING TO INITIATIVES AND REFERENDA; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES9 RES LUTI NS, ORDERS
AND PARTS THERE F9 IN CONFLICT HEREWITH,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Caldwell, County of
Canyon, State of Idaho:
Section 1. That Chapter 1, Article 7, Section 01-07-03 of the Caldwell City Code,
providing for direct legislation by the people through are initiative or referendum, as formerly
required by Idaho Code § -501, be repealed in its entirety, inasmuch as the State of Idaho has,
by statute, provided initiative and referendum procedures for cities through its repeal of Idaho
Code § -501 and its amendments to Idaho Code § 34-1801B and related sections of the Idaho
C de, effective July 1, 2015.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after July 1, 2015.
Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be severable. If any portion f this
