John was going to be reaching out to the City Council to inquire re: 5 XX Million, what else do they need
from the group.
Kerri will be working on getting a list from Roger Brooks.
It was suggested the city get started with Idaho Power. No decision or recommendation decided.
It was also suggested that the City of Caldwell fund the design for the new Plaza.
Concerns were brought up re: the renderings provided and the trees potentially blocking the views of
Indian Creek from the Plaza.
John is going to reach out to Carl and Ray to let them know that DCO is not going to support the location
of the proposed project.
Community workshop is being held re: the proposed 28 unit apartment complex at 6:00 pm at the police
station.
A decision was made to inform Urban Renewal Agency via a written statement from the DCO that the
DCO is not in support of a proposed downtown apartments located on the corner of Arthur and Kimball
Avenue. while they support the project, not the proposed location. It was decided to sign the letter,
Downtown Caldwell organization. Other Concerns included:
A.) The Cost VS Value was not the most efficient use of limited urban renewal money.
B.) The location is directly adjacent to toe proposed plaza site.
C.) Increased need for parking in the area.
D.) The project does not fit in the overall plans of spurring economic development.
