passed.
2. Airport Improvement Program —Toby Epler
Toby Epler stated that they are still expecting Gary Gates' comments within the next
few weeks on the AIP 27 documentation that JUB has submitted to the FAA Helena
off ice.
Rob added that we're also still waiting on the wildlife Hazard Assessment report from
WH Pacific.
3. Canal Relocation Update— Brent Orton
Brent Orton reported that the Master Agreement documents have been signed with
Pioneer Irrigation. This is a positive step forward in getting the canal relocated. The
plans have been submitted to Pioneer and, pending receipt of necessary easements,
there is a real possibility of getting the canal moved this season.
4. Buildable Lots Update— Rob Oates
Rob stated that there have been no changes since the previous commission meeting
regarding available buildable lots. There is a possible lease of land being considered
for Skydown to use as a landing area. This would most likely be a five-year lease.
Brent Orton stated that they are researching the necessary regulations and
requirements for designated drop zones.
5. City-owned Hangar Update — Rob Oates
Regarding the city--owned hangar, Rob Oates reported there is no new information
beyond the fact that negotiations are continuing with Tim Charles. However, an offer
has not yet been submitted to the city.

9. Announcements-- Rob Oates
■ The beacon replacement has occurred, as reported in the January edition of the
Airport News. When weather is better, the tower will also be repainted.
■ The AWOS station at Caldwell Airport is owned and maintained by area FAA
personnel. Although there have been ongoing issues with the AWOS being out,
it is currently operational. The AWOS station is slated for replacement by the
FAA in August, 2015. However, Rob has submitted a request to possibly move
that replacement date up, due to the multiple issues this aging system has had
so far this winter. He said he received no promises from the FAA, but his
request was received positively. He was told that the earliest possibility would
be late this spring. Rob will keep the Commission posted as he receives more
information.
■ Red-zone driving has continued to be a problem, especially at the main entrance
to the airport transient area. Rob is requesting commission members' help to
obtain cooperation from airport users in their day-to-day contacts.
■ There is a new monthly newspaper in Caldwell called Caldwell Perspective. In
an attempt to expose the benefits of our airport to the community at large, Rob
Oates will be a regular contributor with a column called Airport Perspective.
■ The Y
or
Ma Y 's "State of the City" address will be Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015 at 4
pm at the College of Idaho's Jewett Auditorium. Everyone is invited and
welcome to attend.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:57pm.
