Public Hearing / Budget Hearing
CALDWELL URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY
August 28, 2002 - 3:00 pm
Caldwell City Hall Conference Room
A public hearing of the proposed 2002-2003 budget for the Caldwell Urban Renewal Agency was
held August 28, 2002 at 3:00 pm in the Conference Room at City Hall, with Chairman Waite
presiding. The roll was called; those present were ElJay Waite, Mayor Nancolas, Mike Gable,
Leona Fouts, and Matt Beebe.
Chairman Waite opened the budget hearing and delegated his authority to Mayor Garret
Nancolas to conduct the public hearing.
Mayor Nancolas opened the public hearing and informed those present that the commission
would hear public comment regarding the URA proposed budget and those wishing to testify or
ask questions must sign in and provide current name/address for the record.
Chairman Waite presented Caldwell East Urban Renewal Agency’s proposed 2002-2003 budget.
Mayor Nancolas opened the floor to those sign-up to speak:
Mrs. Verna Griffiths
1) Requested clarification of ownership of 65 acres (Wertenberger property)
2) Requested clarification on Logan Pipe Dream Park
3) Requested timetable on Griffiths Park, and asked that an RV parking area be
considered in the master plan for the park.
Motion to close the public hearing: Gable/Beebe M/S/P
Mayor Nancolas conducted a public reading of Resolution #102, “Be It Hereby Resolved by the
Board of Commissioners of the Caldwell East Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Caldwell,
Idaho that they do herein adopt and accept the Annual Appropriations Budget as herein set forth.”
Motion to sponsor Resolution #102 and passage of the 2002-2003 Annual Appropriations Budget:
Fouts/Beebe M/S/P
Motion to close the budget hearing: Beebe/Gable M/S/P
General Discussion: Mayor Nancolas provided an update on the Mayor’s Youth Advisory
Council project. Mike Gable expressed appreciation on behalf of the commission for the efforts
put forth by Chairman Waite in the preparation of the budget.
Motion to adjourn: Fouts/Beebe M/S/P
