Meeting opened at 1:05 PM
Present: Larry Blackburn, Melissa Stringfield, Joey Palmer, David Beverly, Lacey Welt, Shannon
Ozuna, Monica Jones
1. City of Caldwell employee pay -scale changes were presented by City Finance
representative Monica Jones with suggestions for changes to library employee wage
increases.
2. Motion /Approved: To increase all library employees, excluding pages, annual wages by
3% and to increase the director, Lacey Welt's, salary by 2% for a total increase in the
director's annual salary of 5 %, and to increase the long -term disability insurance of all
full -time employees to be comparable to all full -time city employees —

3. Motion /Approved: To approve the draft presented for the 2015 annual budget —
(Palmer /Beverly)
4. Motion /Approved: To accept the initial proposal presented by Trout Architects, Inc. for
design improvements and renovations to the Library's Community Room —
(Stringfield /Blackburn)
5. Library closure dates related to remodeling and asbestos abatement related to tile
removal resulted in the decision the Library will be closed on Saturday, August 16 and
Monday August 18, 2014.
6. An outdoor, drive -up book drop is desirable. Board members discussed and reviewed
possible locations for placement.
