Meeting called to order 10 :06 a.m.
Meeting focused on workforce and education for high school and college students.
Guest Speaker, Carmela Ramirez, Project Manager, Department of Labor.
Explored the Dept of Labor website, focusing on career information.

Idaho Career Connect, connecting businesses to schools. Allows people to become familiar with
businesses, on the job training, school based activities, work based learning activities, services for
educators and schools, internships and volunteer opportunities. (pamphlet provided by Carmela)
Dept. of Labor currently working on getting Canyon County employers to join Idaho Career Connect.
Guest Speaker, Lisa Anzaldua, Workforce Consultant, Department of Labor
Discussed resources available to students, explained booklet called "Maximize Your Job Search ".
Discussed workshops available, creating and updating resumes.
Discussed prove it.com website, free program with tutorials, assessments on numerous skills, there is no
cost associated with the hundreds of assessments available online.
Meeting adjourned 11:30 a.m.
Next Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 24, at 10:00 a.m., Caldwell City Bail.
