Old Business:
• Cameras should be installed this week. -
+ Gene is still working on the CCOA on the billing for the wages. - ongoing
+ Nox box will be placed on the building. This box will hold a key for the building in
case of an emergency for the fire department.- -
• Janitor has not signed the letter of agreement. Gene will be working on this with the
CCOA to remedy this.- ongoing
• A gentleman would like to come and teach a Bridge Class. Judie will check with the
members to see if there is an interest in this. If she finds there is enough interest
the center will move forward with the classes. - ongoing
• Line Dancers: It was discussed that we need to charge rent for this program as we
charge rent for all other activities. $25.00 a month for rent fee was suggested.
This will be presented in a written format to the instructor. - ongoing
• Discussed having the chairs reupholstered. Dale Deitrich has offered to recover the
chairs for free. The Board agreed to pay for the purchasing of the fabric this cost
will be about $300.00 - ;,
New Business:
JUL ordinator and CCOA paid employee benefits -
die attended a coordinator meeting and was told that all benefits are going to be
terminated effective July 2013. The center would then only be paid on a per meal basis.
They would no longer provide payroll. This has not been submitted in a written plan as of
yet.
• Cutbacks to keep cost down for the Center - Breakfast will no longer be served due
to cost and lack of interest. No hot chocolate for summer months. Only one type of
artificial sweetener will be provided. Judie is looking at all ways to save money.
• Price of suggested donation for meals - Move the cost of the suggested meal
donation up. This is only a discussion for now.
• Grants applied for:
• IDCORP Employee Community Service Fund. - Money to go toward a new stainless
sink and disposal.
• College of Idaho- Money to go toward new stainless steel countertops.
• Food to go income for March - $66.00 made for one month.
• Pool Room - Discussion on needs of this room. Judie will talk to the Mayor about how
best to use this room.
• Rental amount for Bridge Lessons - 3 hours would equal $50.00 per rental.
• Royal Neighbors is having a yard sale and will give a portion of the proceeds to the
center. The yard sale will be held on April 21" in Nampa and May 11 in a Caldwell at
someone s home.
• April 26 will be the last Friday night dance at this point.
• Review the rental rates on all the rooms. This will be discussed at length at the
next board meeting.
• Judie has been using the petty cash and it is working well.
• The City has asked the center to have a floot in the 4 th of July parade. The Center
could have a booth in the park at no cost to the Center. This booth could show all
the activities that the center has to offer. Further discussion will be done at the
next meeting. IE; selling water bottles at .50 etc.
