New Business
I . 1. Request speed study on Ustick Road. In the area of the Clocktower sub south
street. (Once School resumes after Christmas 2012) Brent Orton requested
Engineering perform a speed study at the intersection of Ustick Road and Montana
Ave, specifically looking at Ustick Road and South leg of Montana.
Action: Engineering will perform a speed study and provide results to the TC
Action: Brian will remind Anne Marie to contact the Pilot Family regarding ROW
Request Handicapped Parking 1301 Albany - Kendra Pettit
Ms. Pettit is a Case Manager for Dylan Reed. On occasion Dylan is resigned to a
wheelchair or being carried in /out of his home. Such an occasion arouse recently and
there was no parking spaces available in front of Dylan's home making it difficult for
Dylan's therapist to get him into the house. Ms. Pettit made a request on behalf Dylan
and his family for a Handicap Parking space in front of their house or some other
option to make it safe and easier to transport Dylan in and out of his home.
Individually designated Handi -cap Parking in public ROW is not a viable solution.
Traffic Commission did come up with the following suggestions,
o Property Owners could participate in an L.I.D. to construct a Driveway in
front of the house.
o The Reed's could talk with their neighbors and ask that they leave at least one
open parking space at all times
o The City could construct a Ped -ramp at the corner and Dylan could be
unloaded and wheeled down the sidewalk.
Action: Robb will have Engineering set a meeting with the Reed's and Ms. Petit to
discuss possible options.
Resource/Weather Pending Business
1. Heritage Charter School "School Zone" and restriping of road for left turn lane.
Must wait until spring weather permits,
3. Homedale and Indiana Avenue intersection — Roundabout/ re- design.
4. Marble Front /Illinois crosswalk relocation
3. 1 0`" Street school crossings and Speed limit.
