First an update from the Christmas parade comes from Christy. The turnout was good and
the parade was indeed successful. Everyone agreed and Christy thanked those who were
involved.
A reminder of the December service project came from Christy. We are to meet at the City
Hall at 6:45 on Thursday; everyone is to wear his or her MYAC shirt.
Next was an update from Nashville. The girls explained experiences and gave ideas for
our council-such as promoting awareness of such things as drugs and alcohol. They came
home with many ideas and a great experience.
"Pipe Dream Park" was motioned by Rand and Sibylle to be moved to the next meeting
when the Mayor could talk more about it.
• Christy brainstormed ideas for the upcoming year. The first idea was to sponsor the
naming of, "Pipe Dream Park." We all agreed to participate and take part in the

sponsorship—we would discuss more when we knew more. The next idea came from
• National Youth Service day. Many people gave ideas such as planting trees and flowers at
a park, and sponsoring a room at a place called, "Hopes Door." Debbie gave the name to
Christy of a woman to contact for sponsoring a room and we will further update at the
next meeting on the outcome.
We discussed a project for February and thought it would be a good idea to go to another
nursing home and give out Valentines. It is still just an option and we can further discuss
at the next meeting.
Reminder that the State of City address would be held January 13 at ACI, if anyone is
interested they are to contact Christy by Friday with a yes or no answer.
