The Bylaws committee briefly spoke about the possible changes that they want
to be made to the Bylaws. Instead of having 3 alternate members, the number
will be increased to 5. People from other schools may attended who are not on
the council, meaning the meeting will be open to the public. These changes were
accepted with a motion from Lois and a second from Kristin.
The next Committee discussion was the Service Project Committee. The slipper
project has currently been held up due to Target and Wal-Mart donations.
Cleaning the Dog Kennels has been moved to the last weekend in November, in
the morning. A possible December service project is decorating stockings. And
the final item was the Salvation Army. Kevin talked to the Salvation Army and
they said that any 1 Saturday the council could help, would be greatly
' appreciated.
The next item brought forth was the Community of Promise Website. Mattie has
been in contact with the members but no real progress has been made.

Mattie next discussed the Scarp Book, Pictures and Surveys. We need to get the
book done soon so please turn in your items as soon as you can.
Jeremy soon spoke about the Depot Interpretive Center. At the Christmas
Bizarre, over $600 dollars in merchandise was sold. The next item the committee
is working on is an Elementary wide Spelling Bee. The committee will bring more
information at the next meeting.
The Finance committee will meet sometime before the first MYAC meeting in
December.
The council then devoted their attention to Member Reports. Bailey attended the I
Chamber of Commerce meeting and said that no real progress was made. The
bylaws were accepted and the new members were welcomed.
Xanthy attended the Western Canyon Youth and Family Coalition meeting. The
items of discussion included the Nampa GRASP Program, the Youth Club and
the Community Theatre.
The YMCA Steering Committee met the day after the MYAC meeting (November
4 so there was no new news to report.
• Promptly after the member reports, the council focused on the Hopes Door
Training. The first training session went well and the attendees seemed to enjoy
it. The next meeting will be held Tuesday November 31 St at 5-8pm in the McCain
Student Center at ACI.
As the council spoke of training, the Kuna Training Session was brought up.
Cassie and Luke had emailed Tom and stated that they are interested but have
not found a practical date yet, but will continue to look.
A warm Welcome Home was given to the council members who attended the
San Jose trip. They found many ideas that could be used in our community such
as the "Silence the Violence", Grants and more Middle Schoo{ Involvement. The
trip was fun and very informative. Thanks to those members who attended this
Conference to better our Council.
Moving on to the next item, which was the Christmas Parade. The Parade is
December 4 and the "Walk-off' starts at 5:30pm. A float was decided not to be
made, so the members decided to dress up. The theme of the Parade is "Idaho
Cowboy Christmas". If you attend wear cow borish attire and meet at the
O'Connor-Field House at 5:OOpm, December 4.
The last item of discussion was the Ukraine Pen-Pals. The Mayor hasn't heard
from Marina since Halloween, so nothing further has been discussed.
The Meeting was adjourned at 6:57 with a motion from Xanthy and a second
from Sibylle.
