9:30 II. What is a"Charette" — Why are we here? Our objective is to walk out
of here today with a preliminary master plan for the full 43.5 acres of park
land, 24 acres on the northern portion and 19.5 acres on the southern
portion. 10.4 Acres is an existing baseball field.

10:15 Step 1. Identify list of park programs, write on board
10:30 Step 2. Break out into groups of 5-6, give everyone
envelope of park cutouts & Mylar & pencils
Step 3. Give groups 1 hr. to come up with conceptual
layout for park
11:30 Step 4. Have groups give a presentation on how they �
set up their layout and why.
�2:0o Step 5. Talk as a group about what works/doesn't work
with the designs.
12:30 Step 6. Synthesize the ideas on one plan, which will be
the concept plan shown on the preliminary plat.

• There are no bad ideas.
• Respect all opinions - it is OK to disagree.
• Speak one at a time.
• Observe agenda timeframes.
