meeting.
Scott Curtis gave a presentation on upcoming events at our YMCA; Kids Night Out,
which is the last Friday of every month from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. It gives kids, ages 6-
12, a chance to hang out and have fun in a safe environment. He would love for us to get
involve and go through the training. It would be even better if a group of teenagers would
do it for a continuous time. Scott also talked about the Canyon County Classic 1 mile run
for kids Saturday, October ll at 3:00 p.m. starting at the corner of Indiana and
Cleveland Blvd. The cost is $12 for first child, $6 for second. Scott encouraged the
Council to get our siblings and friends involved. The last event Scott presented was the
3r Annual YMCA Walk/Run for your Health on Saturday, September 27th. The race
begins at West Valley Medical Center parking lot along Logan St. and lO Ave.
Everyone is invited - it starts at 9:30 am and ends at 10:30 am. A sign-up sheet was
passed around for volunteers for all three events.
