Minutes
May 3 2012
Attendance: Larry Blackburn; Bonny Smith; Joan Pemble, chair;
Shannon Ozuna, city council and Elaine Leppert, librarian.
Meeting was called to order at 7:11 p.m.
Minutes of previous meeting were approved by consensus.
Bills for the month of April of $55,434.76 were approved for payment.
Leppert reviewed the revisions that will be required for the internet
policies. She will bring a rough draft to the June meeting
Donation form discussion was delayed until the next meeting
Annie Adamson, our Information Technology staff member, suggests
that a blog with a RSS feed will work as a method to send news to
library patrons.
A request to charge for a program in the community room was
received. Trevin Henske wants to charge $30.00 for a Basic pistol
and firearm safety class. The library board did not approve the
request because they needed more information. Specific questions
were: what are his costs, what is the training, is he bringing guns and
need more information about him.
Leppert reported on the upgrade to the smoke detectors. The
system will now report the specific detector that is in alarm.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:09 p.m.
