October 27, 1997 Members present: Vada Givens, Lauren Stevens, Beryl Kingsbury, Doris Ellis, Harvey Simmons, Virginia Figueredo, Pete Hanold. The meeting was called to order at 10 AM. The minutes for special meeting on September 9, regular meeting on September 15, and special meeting on October 8 were read and approved as read. Treasurer's report was read and approved as read. Coordinator's report was read by Dottie Blessing. Nutrition report: 1501 seniors fed, 9 nonseniors, 6 minority. Meal donation average was 241.6. Bills presented: Doris Ellis $45.68 American Music, $140 Gerdes Metal $109.82 Beryl Kingsbury $85 Ray Keck, Chanber of Commerce Meals (2) $16 E.0.�1$306.80 Beryl Kingsbury made a motion to pay the bills. second Pete Hanold. Passed. Old Business: Doris Ellis will take care of the memorial plaque. New Business: Vada Givens made a motion that a Nominating Committee be appointed. Second Doris Ellis. Carried. Lauren Stevens appointed Beryl Kinsbury, Pete Hanold, and Doris Ellis as the Nomination Committee. We will be filling 3 vacancies beginning January, 1998. The annual Meeting will be Wednesday, December 10, 1997 at 11:30 AM. and must be published in the paper by November 10,1997. Harvey Simmons made a motion that the board appoint Leo Perez to finish the unexpired term of Kenny Averill which is one year.Second by Doris Ellis. Carried. _, F y��'v ec� Vada Givens made a motion the board appoint Gwen �rady to complete the unexpired term of 2 years for Pete Hanold who has resigned. Second by Beryl Kingsbury. Carried. Vada Givens made a motion that the board postpone consideration of the new rental agreement form until a later date. Second by Doris Ellis. Carried. Suggestion: Think about having Larry Jones from Garden Valley in concert at our center as a fund raiser. � �.,,� � cc ;�� �r Discussion of bonus to the cook'�this year was discussed and not resolved.
