NOVEMBER I8,I996
THE meeting was called to ord�r at 9:30A.M. Those present were Dnris Ellis, Beryl Kingsbury,
Arba Hager, Pet� Hanold, Harv�y Simmons, LauEen Stevens and Ramona Maerz.
The secretarys report was read and ammended to include the fact that we are planning on
a title 5 employee to replace the cleaning service.Approved as ammended.
The treasurers report was read and approved.
It was report�d that the certificate of deposit had matured.It was suggested that we look
into the possibility of a longer deposit period at a higher rate of interest.
The co-ordinators report was read by Lauren due to Dots absens�.There were 2024 meals served
during October wi�h I3 of them non-senior and 4 minority.The average donation was $2.45.05.
There was a discussion of the buying a n�w range and de�p fryer for the kitchen.will be
decided upon by the end of the year.Lauren is to check as to the natural�gas supply or if
the range would be electric.

A motion to pay was made by Beryl and seconded by Pete.Passed.
General discussions:
The Tuesday night �inochle was discussed and decided to l�ave as is.Motion was made byPete
and seconded by Beryl.Unanamous.
It was d�cided that w� would approach the city as to the possibility of installing some
outside motion lights in order help with the prevention of graffiti etc.
Lauren suggested we have a representive from the center to the Chamber Of Commerc�. He
will look into the cost etc.and will give a report at the next meeting.
Lauren suggested we have a potato bake and Bingo night for a fund raiser.This is to be
decided upon at the n�xt meeting.
A nominating commitee was chosen,to include Lauren,Doris,and Ramona. The election will be
on December I3th. before lunch. There are thr�e seats to be filled.
A motion was made by Arba, seconded by Doris that the next Breakfast is to be served on the
steam table with the entire board incharge. Th� cook is to be in charge of the kitchen.P�ssed.
The bonus for th� cook,Dot and kitchen h�lper was discussed.Dot i� to receive $ I000.�0.
The assistant cook,Marti, wi31 receive $4]6.60 whir,h is prorated from her starting da��
in F�bruar�.This ammount is to be round�. off to $420.00.The cook is to receive the same
as a gift this year.Doris volunteered to get the cards for this purpose.The cards will b�
presented on December I7th. -
A motion sas made by Beryl,seconded by Pet� for adjournment.Adjourned at I2 noon.
