Meeting Minutes (04/23/12)
Members Present: Donna Shines, Andy Cater, Kent Noethe, Mike Farris, Shannon Ozuna, Brittanie
Campos, Debbie Geyer, Liz Godina
Liz Godina nominated for secretary for the Committee.
Reviewed Youth Master Plan handouts and timeline implementation of goals.
Reviewed rough draft of poster /brochure created by Brittanie Campos, listing summer programs/
activities within the City. Members to email additional information to include in brochure.
Discussion of Goal #1: Out of School Time
Mike Farris (Caldwell High): Summer programs are in conjunction with the YMCA. Getting the word out,
via daily video put on by the students, brochures at front offices and website.
Kent Noethe (YMCA): after school programs, some are at near capacity. Teen night, once a month
throughout the summer. Brief discussion on P16 program.
Andy Cater (Fire): add youth master plan information to brochures that are given out by fire personnel
while checking smoke detectors.
Liz Godina (Police): provided brochures to school resource officers to hand out to the community while
they are on bike patrol this summer.
Trans ortation Option : increase bike and pathway knowledge within our city.
ACTION ITEMS:
• Kent to contact Al from p16 program to provide additional information about the after school
programs.
Debbie to contact Brian Billingsley to provide information about the Caldwell Bike and
Pathways.
Next Meeting scheduled for May29th at 10am, City Hall.
