The first item af. bu�ine:.�s was a pre:�entati��>n oF the completed
1'hase IIi hi�toric site �urvey along C'level�nd Boulevard by
historic consultant, Sus�n St�cy. Slides of. �11 the houses ancl

proiect overview and recorrunendations ,-ind provided �ame pertinent
background concerning the history and signifiranr.e of Clevel�nd

Dennis Crooks added that the St�ff woulci be �ubmit.ting thc�
completed survey pr t:o the Stat� in approxim�t�:ly two week::�
�nd that the City shauld be receiving the grant re.imbursement
fund� anmc time thereafter

it was r�commended that courtF:�y capi�s of t�he pro,j�ct overview
and site surveys be sent to the respE pr.operty owners along
with a cover letter. F3i11 Gigray ind.icated. h�: would prepare th�
cover letter. Additionally, a number of pre:�ervat.ior� opt�on=� �nd
mettlod� wer� discu.�sE�d which included � po�:>ible r�zon:ing,
establi>Yiment of z local hist.oric dist,rict. grants znd sources of
revenue foa.�� infra�tr improvemer�t��. 1�11 �greed that the
praperty owners along the Cleveland E�c�ulevard r.orridor, including
th� College of Idar�o, should be iravolved.
The next item or� the ac�e:nda invUlv�d thE 1���+2 grant appl icat.ion.
Denr��.s Cr�oo}:s indicated t;hat a compl.F�te�i �p��:l ication would have
to be submitted to the State fIist��ric �-'reservation Office by
Uctober 15, 1�31., ��ncl thar t:o��ic:w� fioi thc applir.atic�n �hould be
discussed. It was generally agre:ed tr�at the historic sit.e survey
progr�m shou.l d cant i nue , �t 1 ���st , i n pa���t . There was a 1 s�
discu�sion zbout the possibility of p� a namination to the
National Historic R�gister for a residencc� along Clev�land
Boulevard and zl.so l�eginning �urv�ys in other Caldwell I
neighbc�rhond::� .
