The Meefing was called to order by Dr. Basey at 6:30 p.m.
The minutes from the previous committee meeting on the 17"' of January 2000 were appro�red as read

brought up and it was explai�ed that Caldwell just does not have the $125,000 to hire an
archit�t for a drawing befare a vote has even decided iYs fate. The description of an
average business applying for a loan needing a business plan and the c�ty of Caldwell
encouraging voters was discussed and the d"�fferences were explained. As a City, first
you must get approval to apply fra�n the City voters and then you can apply for the grant
with drawings from an archited and take those to the City for appronral before you build.
Each step has a phase to go through, but the first one requires approval ta even start.
The land acquisition cost is 640,000. The equipment lease cost is 220,000.

Bond Actrvities A11an Laird has election eve callers lined up. 20 volunteers have signed up to make
calls to potential yes vaters reminding them to vate. They will be using the c�uncil rooms
in the upstairs of City Hall. They will be supplied with a fist of names and numbers to call.
Faxes from the chamber need to go out that evening and a week before the eledion as
welL There wiN be befinreen 500 and 800 names of endorsements that wil� go into the
newspaper. It will be a full page and witl be run twice. The r.ost is estimated at $2100.

election. Everyone on the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce Reader'boai"d ��st has been
contacted for their help.

Meeting Room Upstairs City Hall.
