MINUTES
Meeting of May 27, 1995
Present: Mark Wendelsdorf, Susan Imeson, Charlie Chadwick, Dave
Marston, Terry McConnell, Jim Hitt, Curt Doty, Linda Heib, Elroy
Huff aad Sue Brown.
The meeting was called to order by Elroy Huff, Sue Brown and
Charlie Chadwick at City Hall in the Conference Room.
The first item of business was a report from Elroy Huff on a
seminar that he attended regarding chain saw safety. He reported
that it was an excellent seminar and he picked up good
information. If any departments would like to talk to him about
it, he would be glad to pass on the information.
The next item of business was regarding MSDS Stations that have
been installed in all the various facilities. Elroy reported that
all stations have been installed and they are in the process of
making sure each station is equipped with the necessary MSDS
information sheets that pertain to any chemicals in that
department. Elroy and Charlie will be inspecting the stations over
the next few weeks. A master copy will be made of each station to
house at the Fire Department.
Charlie reported that our State Inspection will be held the 3rd
week of August. Each department is reminded to have their facility
ready for inspection, making sure all violations that were given
last year have been corrected.
Charlie reported that there are approximately 12-15 fire
extinguishers from various departments that needed hydro-testing
and it was more cost effective to replace them instead of test
them. It was suggested that a class be arranged for employees to
be able to practice using a hydrant and then they will be disposed
of instead of refilled. Sue stated that she would arrange this.
Sue reported that the Drug and Alcohol proposals will be going out
to various agencies and a meeting will be called when the proposals
are returned. The Committee will then need to recommend one of the
agencies to the City Council.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
/
