The meeting was called to order in the City Hall Conference Room at 9:00 a.m. The first item discussed was regarding the MSDS Stations to be placed in each department. Elroy reported that the signs are , completed by Gordon Reed of the Street Department. Each department can pick up a sign (or more than one if needed) and place it in the department, on the wall, high enough to be seen from anywhere in the room. Gordon made 20 signs and there are enough for some departments to have 2 or 3 areas posted. The departments should now begin to get the MSDS sheets in order, making sure they have a sheet for all chemicals that they house in their department. Mark stated that there is a sheet on any item that you can purchase but the law only requires you to keep a sheet on household items if you purchase or store large quantities.
